After rejecting a £35m offer from Chelsea for thҽ winger, City have now agreed a deal worth £42.5m to sell Palmer to thҽ west London club.

This has now led to one current City player sharing a farewell message on social media to thҽ 21-year-old.

“Although I’m sad to see you leave City, I wish you nothing but happiness and success in thҽ next chapter of your life,” Walker wrote on Instagram.

“You have sat next to me in thҽ Etihad changing rooms from thҽ start of your arrival into thҽ first team and I have seen you grow & develop from a boy to a man.

“Don’t stop learning and striving to be thҽ best you can be and will be my little brothҽr.”

Phil Foden wrote: “Good luck in your new challenge bro, we will miss ya!” and Rico Lewis said: “All thҽ best brothҽr.”

After making 64 appearances for City’s youth sides, during which he scored 42 goals and provided 19 assists, Palmer went on to make 41 senior appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side, chipping in with six goals and two assists.
