Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Pep Guardiola’s side are showing interest in Napoli centre-back, Kim Min-jae.
Since his €18m transfer from Fenerbahce to Napoli last summer, Kim has been nothing short of a revelation. His performances have earned him a reputation of being Gli Azzurri’s ‘rock’ in their successful league campaign this year.
Stepping into the shoes left by Kalidou Koulibaly’s departure to Chelsea, Kim has been a vital cog in Napoli’s defence, contributing to the club’s first Scudetto in 33 years.
Kim’s exceptional performances, demonstrating both his football intelligence and athleticism, have inevitably attracted attention from the biggest clubs in Europe.
Bayern Munich as well as Premier league side Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Korean international.
Bayern are reportedly leading the race to secure Kim Min-jae’s signature. But according to the latest information from TZ journalist Philipp Kessler, Manchester City are showing interest in the Napoli centre-back.
Kim Min-jae prefers Bayern over Man United & Newcastle. Release clause is €45m, valid until July 15. Deal is on the right track, but there's still a risk as Manchester City are now showing interest. As per the Journalist, a deal with Bayern Munich is ‘on the right track’, but there is ‘still a risk’. The 26-year-old centre-back is said to have a release clause of €50m (£43m) in his contract, which is valid from July 1 to July 15 (GIFN).
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
