Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Txiki Begiristain would love to see Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies at the Etihad Stadium.
Davies has evolved into one of the topmost left-backs in Europe during his time at the Allianz Arena, standing out particularly because of his exceptional speed and ability to make contributions in attack.
In 38 matches this term, the 22-year-old has scored three goals and set up eight more, although he is out of action currently due to an injury.
According to a report in Sky Germany, Manchester City are keeping tabs on Alphonso Davies and Txiki Begiristain, City’s director of football, would reportedly ‘love to see him’ at the Etihad Stadium.
Real Madrid are also mulling over the option of going for the Bayern Munich left-back as they have a ‘long-standing interest’ in the Canadian.
Davies has a contract with Bayern Munich until the summer of 2025 and the German champions will be reluctant to let him leave, let alone depart cheaply, according to the report.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from Manchester City supporters.
