Journalist Dean Jones has said that Pep Guardiola was always convinced that Jack Grealish would come good sooner rather than later.
It seems as if the Catalan boss’ faith has been vindicated as since the World Cup especially, the £270,000-a-week [Salary Sport] man has had a case for being City’s most in-form player.
As Jack Grealish grabbed the headlines against Liverpool with a goal and an assist, it seems Pep Guardiola always knew he would disprove his doubters.
Erling Haaland too appreciated the England international’s standout showing after the contest, as did Alan Shearer, as the silky attacker continues to shine week in, week out.
Both in terms of his influence and end product, Grealish has become instrumental and perhaps one of the first names on the team sheet.
However, journalist Dean Jones told GiveMeSport that Pep Guardiola always knew Jack Grealish was the real deal.
“Pep Guardiola has been waiting for this all season, he’s been convinced that he could unlock Jack Grealish’s full potential and we’re starting to see that now.”
“It was a lot of money that they paid for Jack Grealish and there’s always a risk attached to that. But it is starting to look like they might have a superstar after all.”
