Erling Haaland is ‘entirely happy’ at Manchester City amid reports linking him with a blockbuster transfer to Real Madrid.
Haaland only joined the Premier League champions from Borussia Dortmund in the summer but is still on Real Madrid’s radar after breaking numerous top-flight records at the Etihad Stadium.
However, City are already making plans to stave off the growing interest in Haaland from Europe’s elite.
The reigning English champions are all set to offer a mega deal to Haaland by handing the Norwegian a massive £500,000-a-week wage according to The Sun.
The striker, who joined the Cityzens in the summer of 2022, has a valid contract with the club until 2027 but Pep Guardiola’s side are willing to extend the length of his contract by one more year along with an increased salary.
As per the report, Sources close to Erling Haaland have insisted that the Norway international is ‘entirely happy’ in Manchester, but City are keen to send a firm ‘hands off’ message through the form of a new and improved contract.
The Sun also adds that those around the Norwegian ‘have given indications’ that they are keen to hold talks and Manchester City themselves are convinced he will follow Julian Alvarez’s decision.
The report shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters.
