Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Paris Saint-Germain intend to make another move for Bernardo Silva this summer.
Silva has been a key player for Manchester City since joining the club from AS Monaco, and he has helped them win several trophies during his time in the Premier League.
The 28-year-old was heavily linked with the move away from the Premier League club last summer as well. But Manchester City managed to keep him at the club.
Silva has shown his versatility this season in City’s fluid tactical system. From 37 appearances in all competitions, he has scored four goals and provided five assists.
There have been a few claims recently that it could be his last season at the Etihad Stadium, with Barcelona continuing to circle.. By the summer, there will only be two years remaining on his contract.
Silva hasn’t made his itching desire for a new challenge a secret, which have contributed to City becoming fed up with the situation.
Pep Guardiola didn’t want to let him leave midway through the season. However, City are reportedly growing tired of what seems like an inevitable parting of ways.
In a meeting between Man City chiefs and Silva’s agent Jorge Mendes, director of football Txiki Begiristain is quoted by Sport to have said: “If you(Bernardo) want to go, go!”
Now, according to L’Équipe as relayed by GFFN, PSG intends to make another move for Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva, having already made an attempt to sign his compatriot last year.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
@h3mzamcfc: “Finally hope we get 60m.”
@Alex8Mcfc: “Better than selling to Barca.”
@BlueFanFromHull: “If Barca can’t afford him and he wants out, PSG only place for him. No way Barca will sign him with their financial mess..”
@DanO_McG: “He’s the exact kind of player they need. We better make them pay insane money if we’re going to strengthen a CL rival.”
@shayasilbers1: “Swap Messi for Bernardo, its only fair”
@mcfc__adam: “I think a trade for Messi or Mbappe would be good.”
@CertiCitizen: “Swap for Messi”
@JMC_OfficiaI: “£65 Million + Messi on a free”
@ourimys: “Give us Messi and Mbappe then.”
