Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club could have opportunity to re-sign Leroy Sane from Bayern Munich.
The now 27 year-old left the Etihad in the summer of 2020, after missing almost the entirety of the 2019/20 campaign with a serious ACL injury sustained during the FA Community Shield against Liverpool at the start of the campaign.
The Bundesliga giants worked very hard to bring Leroy Sane to Germany and had to spent some €50m to bring him from Manchester City and were originally willing to break the bank for him, potentially up to 100m.
He became the successors to legends Arjen Robben inheriting the number 10. Clearly, Bayern have placed enormous faith in the former Manchester City star.
However, Sane’s contract still runs until 2025 and with just two years left on his contract, the former Manchester City man have an uncertain futures at the club.
According to a report from German newspaper BILD, as translated and relayed by ‘Get German Football News‘, as a result of Leroy Sané’s ‘poor performances’, the idea of selling the forward is now described as being ‘a possibility’.
It is stated that officials at Bayern Munich expect players’ performances to match their salaries – something that Leroy Sané have failed to do in recent matches.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
