Manchester City legend Joleon Lescott has predicted Leeds United to suffer defeat against Pep Guardiola’s side on boxing day in the Premier League.
Manchester City return to Premier League action with a trip to Elland Road to face Leeds United on Wednesday evening.
Looking at previous meetings between this pair doesn’t immediately offer a pattern. Yes, City rattled in 11 goals without reply across their two games against Leeds last season.
Yet, in the campaign before, Pep Guardiola’s champions collected just one point against the Yorkshire outfit.
Joleon Lescott believes Leeds United will suffer defeat against Manchester City on boxing day in the Premier League.
Speaking to Livescore, Lescott, a BT Sport pundit, said, “Elland Road will be hostile for the visit of Manchester City but I’d be surprised if they don’t take all three points against Leeds.
“It’s very rare you see Pep Guardiola’s men lose two league games in a row after slipping up at home against Brentford last month.
“They’ll be determined to lay down a marker here ahead of the second half of the campaign.
“Prediction: Leeds 0-2 Manchester City.”
