Pep Guardiola personally congratulated Manchester City legend David Silva on beating Manchester United yet again last week.
Silva started Real Sociedad’s 1-0 win at United last Thursday in their Europa League clash.
It was the attacking midfielder’s 21st game against the Red Devils, whom he has now beaten 10 times, nine of which while playing for the Citizens.
However, the trip to Manchester would not have been totally complete without revisiting his former home on the other side of the city.
Following Sociedad’s victory, the La Liga side visited City’s training ground, which allowed Silva to revisit the club he called home from a decade and reunite with former teammates and his former manager Guardiola.
And the two Spaniards couldn’t help but laugh at United’s expense in an exchange captured by ManCity.com.
‘I wasn’t sure you were going to come by,’ Guardiola said upon embracing Silva.
‘Winning at Old Trafford again? Winning at Old Trafford again?!’
