Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Marco Verratti, Bernardo Silva and Frenkie de Jong could all switch teams in three separate domino effect transfers involving the club, Barcelona and Paris Saint Germain.
According to Romero, there is a rumor among the representatives of the three mentioned players that they could all change employers in the coming weeks.
It is claimed that should De Jong join PSG, Marco Veratti could head to Manchester City and Bernardo Silva may arrive at Barcelona.
Barcelona seem eager to sign Silva this summer and PSG star Veratti may be the man chosen by Manchester City to replace him.
Veratti has been a mainstay in PSG’s side throughout the years, making 380 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants, scoring 11 goals and creating 60 assists.
It remains to be seen if his future does lie away from the Parc des Princes and whether he will be used in the three-way negotiations being suggested by Romero.
The report shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters.
“If this is true, win win for all parties.”

“Also people saying Veratti won’t fit in have never watched Bernardo play in big games. Pep has him partner with Rodri and drop deep in midfield along with providing support. Veratti will be the perfect big game player.”

“I’ll take it tbh, sadly not true.”

“For what it’s worth, I just don’t see this. For one, Barça can’t even register their new signings, thus falling foul of La Liga’s rules. Plus, Veratti is good, but 29 years old. So City would be better opting for the younger Lucas Paqueta.”

“It won’t happen but Veratti is great.”

“Verrati still 29 and one of the best technical baller it tight space, Will take him at City any day.”

“I’ll take Verrati, Bernardo is better but if he wants to leave then Verrati is a very good option.”
