Manchester City learned the fate of their Champions League group stage campaign on Thursday, and it could not have gone much better for the Citizens.
The draw for the group stage of the 2022/23 Champions League took place on Thursday 25th August at 5pm UK time in Istanbul, Turkey, where this year’s final will take place at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium.
The Blues were drawn alongside Sevilla, Borussia Dormund and Copenhagen in Group G.
Plenty of Manchester City fans have reacted to the draw over on City Xtra’s Twitter page. The vast majority of supporters seemed quite happy with the tie.
Many supporters couldn’t hide their excitement at seeing the club handed another favourable outcome.

The UEFA Champions League group stage will get underway on September 06. With the FIFA World Cup taking place in November and December, teams will face a gruelling schedule in the Champions League this season. Matchday six of the group stage is scheduled for November 01-02.
