Erling Haaland has been getting tips from Alan Shearer after meeting the Newcastle United and Premier league legend.
The 22-year-old is set for his first season in England, having joined Manchester City earlier in the summer. He cost Pep Guardiola’s side £51million.
Haaland is one of the best strikers in the world, and the thought of him in the Premier League’s best team is somewhat terrifying. And that’s despite a rather underwhelming debut in the Community Shield last weekend.
Many will be expecting the Norwegian to challenge for the golden boot, and he could go on to break records if he scores at the rate expected of him.
But there’s only one all-time record scorer in the Premier League, and it’s Wor Al. And he’s met Haaland ahead of the new season.
City’s number nine met up with Shearer earlier this week, who was on media duty for BBC Sport and The Athletic.
The pair then posed for a picture, which Haaland has shared on his official Instagram account, where he has a whopping 17.5million followers.
Underneath the picture, Haaland wrote the caption: “Got a few tips from this guy today.”
The image shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters.
