Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan this summer, after a new contract for the Germany man is not forthcoming.
The Germany international, who turns 32 in October, has now entered the final 12 months of his contract at the Etihad Stadium and his long-term future at the club is believed to be uncertain.
Gundogan reminded all of his worth on the final day of the 21-22 campaign, scoring twice off the bench to beat Aston Villa. The win secured the Premier League title for Pep Guardiola’s side.
His future is in doubt though. Previous reports claiming both Arsenal and Barcelona are considering moves for the ex-Borussia Dortmund ace this summer.
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato as relayed by HITC, Juventus are looking to ‘immediately’ take advantage of Gundogan’s situation at City and will plan to table a bid for the midfielder this summer.
The report adds that City value Gundogan at €25m (£21m), a similar fee which the Citizens spent on the German when the signed him from Borussia Dortmund in 2016.
This report shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters, who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on the matter.
