Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham said he will always love Manchester City new boy Erling Haaland.
The 19-year-old has been the subject of speculation over his own future in recent months as interest gathers from the Premier League and around Europe.
Haaland left Bellingham behind this summer when he opted to join the Blues, and scored on his first City appearance in the pre-season win over Bayern Munich in Green Bay over the weekend.
Bellingham is entering his third full season at Dortmund and said he will miss Haaland both on the pitch and off it.
In an interview with BVB Podcast, he said: “I obviously loved our old number nine, still love him, will always love him.”
After Haaland completed his move to the Premier League champions, the former Birmingham City youngster said: “He’s a brilliant player, a brilliant guy. That’s what I’m going to miss the most.”
On his teammates’ departure, he added: “He’s a really good character. I think Manchester City are very lucky to get such a player.”
These Jude Bellingham’s comments were shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
