Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club will ‘push’ to sign Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella if Oleksandr Zinchenko leaves for Arsenal.
The 25-year-old left-back is currently City’s third longest-serving player at the club, but the Ukrainian looks set to reunite with former coach Mikel Arteta as his move to north London draws closer.
City will make a sizeable profit should they sell Zinchenko and the club have wasted no time in eyeing up a potential replacement in the form of Brighton’s Cucurella.
The Spaniard has been linked with a move to the Etihad since the summer transfer window began, but Pep Guardiola’s side are yet to make an official bid.
City have held their stance firm from the beginning, and Brighton have said they would have to consider a bid if one came through the door.
According to The Sun, Manchester City will step up their bid for Brighton’s Marc Cucurella to replace Oleksandr Zinchenko.
The Seagulls are believed to want up to £50m for Spaniard Cucurella, 23, but City are reluctant to go that high.
The report was shared on Twitter and it attracted plenty of attention from the the club’s supporters.
