Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report of the club’s interest in FC Augsburg forward, Dzenan Pejcinovic.
The 17-year-old, described as a ‘super-talent’, had been building his reputation with Augsburg, but didn’t sign a renewal and his contract expired at the end of June.
According to a report from the German newspaper BILD, as translated and relayed by Sport Witness, Manchester City are now keen to sign Dzenan Pejcinovic.
It has been said that as things stand, Wolfsburg remain ‘favourites’ to win the race to sign Pejcinovic as they could provide him with a realistic route to the first team.
The report highlights that many believe he is destined to be the country’s next number nine in the future.
With the teenager due to sign a draft, this could well be a case of the prodigious striker signing for one of Manchester City’s sister clubs and learning his trade for a few years before joining Pep Guardiola’s side.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
