Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Arsenal’s initial bid for Gabriel Jesus was worth up to £30M.
The Gunners have been fiercely linked with the Manchester City forward throughout the window thus far, but are yet to make firm steps towards acquiring the services of the 25-year-old.
However, that is all set to change according to reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, who believes the coming hours are set to influence the course of proceedings significantly:
“Gabriel Jesus is still the main target of Arsenal. In the next few hours, there will be new contact to understand if they can reach an agreement or move to other targets. It’s not surprising to see him take his time over a decision on his future.”
According to an update from Gary Jacob at The Times, the Brazil forward wants to join Arsenal, who are expected to increase their offer which is short at present of City’s valuation of about £50 million.
The report claims Arsenal’s initial bid, made in the past week, was believed to be worth up to £30 million but they are expected to increase it, to get closer to City’s valuation.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.

“If they ain’t ready for £50-55m. Jesus stays!.”

“£30m is a disgrace, we paid £27m for him from Palmeiras and he’s developed so much at City. They paid £70m for Pepe so £80m is Jesus’ value.”
