Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club have no interest in Frenkie De Jong, and player exchange deals with Barcelona for Bernardo Silva are ruled out.
Recent reports have indicated that Silva, whose market value stands at €80 million dreams of a summer transfer to Barcelona.
Despite Pep Guardiola reiterating that the Citizens wish to keep hold of the former SL Benfica and AS Monaco midfielder, the speculations refuse to go away.
There has always been claims that Man City could register an interest in De Jong, especially with Barcelona looking to sign Bernardo Silva, but Catalan journalist Helana Condis claims Pep Guardiola’s side are not interested in signing the Dutch ace.
The Cope writer’s tweet, as seen below, translates: “At Barca they are fully convinced that they will be able to sign Bernardo Silva. This has been transferred for him through his agent, Mendes. The player environment believes that they must have patience. Exchanges ruled out: City do not want De Jong.”

“For what it’s worth, despite everything he offers, I do think City will largely be fine w/o Sterling. The same can’t be said about Bernardo. In the last 3 PL wins, he’s played a huge role. And is there another midfielder itw that can do what he does?
Keep him at all costs ”
