Antonio Rudiger has admitted he saw enough from Jack Grealish during his 18-minute cameo in England’s recent 1-1 draw with Germany to predict the Manchester City winger will have a huge role for his country in the 2022 World Cup.
Grealish came off the bench for England against Germany this week to give his country the attacking impetus they needed to come from behind and claim a draw in Munich.
His performance clearly left an impact on Rudiger, who reserved special praise and backed the City No.10 to play an important role for England in the coming years.
““I think [Jack] Grealish gave the [England] team a real impact – because he came on [vs Germany] and he gave good one-v-ones and everything,” Rudiger said.
“He is a very dangerous player and those sort of players are going to win you games…”.
“The England squad has great quality. [Bukayo] Saka comes out, Grealish comes in. I saw a lot of big, big names were on the bench. England have a lot to be optimistic about for the future.”
These Rudiger’s comments on Grealish were shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from Man City supporters.

“Hopefully, this form of his will be carried out in 22/23 season. He already showed glimpse of it on matches after Madrid’s defeat.”

“If Cucurella comes, he will create width on the left, allowing Grealish to play in the left half space, Bernado and Rodri will sit.. expect direct football next season.”
