Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Barcelona have identified Oleksandr Zinchenko as a potential target if they fail to recruit Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso this summer.
Alonso, who will soon be entering the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge, has been strongly linked with a move to Camp Nou after expressing his desire to play for a La Liga club.
The 31-year-old is believed to be one of Barca’s primary targets and one report claims that the Spaniard has already agreed personal terms to join the club this summer.
However, Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo claims that the Catalan giants have drawn up a list of potential alternatives should they fail to sign Alonso, with Zinchenko at the top of this list.
The report adds that Barcelona are now seriously exploring a proposed move for the versatile Ukraine international, who was recommended to the club by former Man City forward Ferran Torres.
As news outlet claims City are open to anything and If Zinchenko departs, they have identified Tyrick Mitchell of Crystal Palace as the perfect man for the job.
The report was shared on Twitter and it attracted plenty of attention from Man City supporters.
