Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Bayer Leverkusen are set to sign Samuel Edozie on a permanent deal.
Edozie was one of the standout performers of Cityâs hit and miss pre-season. He scored two goals in friendlies at the City Football Academy and was rewarded with a start in the annual Community Shield curtain raiser against Leicester City.
Despite losing the game late on, the winger showed plenty of promise and completed a solid 60 minutes of work. Since then, however, the youngster has been hampered by injuries and struggled with a stop-start season.
He has helped the Etihad outfit win the Premier League 2 title in back-to-back seasons, scoring five goals in 29 games in the division.
The England U19 international will end a three-year association with Premier League champions Manchester City in the coming days, according to reports.
Italian transfer market guru Fabrizio Romano has informed that German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen are on the brink of signing the Anglo-Nigerian from the Citizens.
There is in agreement in place on a permanent deal that will see the winger tied to Bayer Leverkusen until June 30, 2024.

Despite no concrete information on the structure of the deal, it is normally standard that City include a buy-back clause and a percentage sell-on fee in any sale of a youth talent.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the clubâs supporters.
