Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Southampton are interested in goalkeeper, Gavin Bazunu.
Bazunu will hold talks with City to determine the next step in his development after his loan spell at League One Portsmouth came to an end.
He has become a fan favourite, while on loan at Portsmouth and kept 16 clean sheets for Danny Cowley’s side this season.
The Irishman was also named the club’s Players’ Player of the Season and the Player of the Season during the week. He now faces a battle with Ederson and Zack Steffen for the number 1 spot at the Etihad.
It remains to be seen whether City will keep Bazunu at the club next season or send him on loan again, but the 20-year-old is keen to gain more experience.
According to talkSPORT, Southampton are interested in Gavin Bazunu – who now believes he is ready to challenge to be a premier league number one, but knows he has no chance of ousting Ederson.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
