Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club officials have visited Erling Haaland‘s agent, Mino Raiola in hospital to negotiate a deal for the Borussia Dortmund striker.
The 21-year-old striker is rapidly becoming one of the best players in Europe, and after scoring 82 goals in 86 appearances during two-and-a-half seasons with Dortmund, he is now set to move.
The Athletic said earlier this month that Haaland is open to the move and will be available for €75m (£63m). They also previously said City are leading the race for his signature and have all but agreed personal terms, so confirmation shouldn’t be too far away.
The Daily Mail also reported this month that Manchester City have agreed terms to sign him from Dortmund, which would make him the Premier League’s highest-paid player.
According to the latest information from Samuel Luckhurst via Manchester Evening News, the Borussia Dortmund striker is expected to join Manchester City in the summer when his €75million release clause becomes active.
It is claimed that during negotiations for the Borussia Dortmund striker, Manchester City officials have been visiting agent Mino Raiola in hospital to work on a potential deal.
The Italian is said to be suffering from an illness and his business partner Jose Fortes Rodrigues has said he remains in serious condition after Italian news outlets reported on Thursday that he had died.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
