‘Sounds like he’s off’, ‘Please don’t leave’ – Man City fans react to 27-year-old Star’s Comments On his Future

Bernardo Silva has revealed that he will sit down with the Manchester City hierarchy to discuss his future at the club in the summer.

The 27-year-old Portuguese was heavily linked with leaving the Etihad Stadium last summer, with Arsenal and Barcelona both hoping to land him but no move materialised.

City did not receive any acceptable bids for Bernardo, however, so the Portuguese midfielder has remained at the Etihad this season and has shown signs of his very best form since joining the club.

This season, Silva has been one of Manchester City’s best players, and the prospect of him leaving must be upsetting for manager Pep Guardiola.

In an interview with The Times, Silva speaks about how he asked to leave City last season. When asked whether it will be the last time we see Silva in a Manchester Derby, he said: “At the end of the season, I’m going to sit down with City and see what’s best for both sides.”

“We’re in the middle of the season and we want to win a lot of important trophies. We can win all three of them, or zero, or one. Now is not a good time to talk about [my future].”

These Bernardo’s comments were shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, with many hoping to see him extend his stay at the club.
