Raheem Sterling set a new Premier League record as Manchester City continued to storm ahead of the competition.
City were 2-0 winners over a stubborn Brentford side, who made the Blues really fight for their three points at times in their encounter.
Sterling was the difference-maker in a first half that was becoming more and more frustrating for the Blues, as he picked up the ball, drove towards the byline, and tempted a foul for a penalty.
According to BBC Sport, that was the 23rd penalty Sterling has won in the Premier League, setting a new record in the competition for spot-kicks won.
Some stat!

At 26 years old, should he remain in England he will have plenty of time to add to that tally in the years to come.
Man City Fans have been reacting to this Sterling’s ‘Ridiculous’ achievement in the Premier League.

That’s shocking because he’s definitely the player with the most penalties not given against him as well, most legitimate https://t.co/dZfMRFjuyX
