Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Wolverhampton have made an offer to Pep Guardiola’s side to sign Julian Alvarez on a loan deal for one and a half years.
The 21-year-old is viewed as the brightest young talent in Argentina after impressing during his breakthrough season in professional football.
A flurry of reports emerging last week mentioned that Manchester City were nearing a move for Julian Alvarez, who can play centrally or out wide.
The Premier League leaders hope to complete a deal for River Plate hotshot before the end of the January transfer window – with striker having a £20m release clause.
He is not expected to join the Premier League champions straight away, however, and there is the option of him remaining at River on a loan deal.
According to Argentine newspaper Olé as relayed by Sport Witness, Wolves made an offer to Man City to sign Julian Alvarez on loan for one-and-a-half years, keeping him until the summer of 2023.
However, as per the report Pep Guardiola’s side turned down that bid and are letting the youngster stay at River Plate until July 2022, and then could extend it for a further six months or take him to England.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, Man City Fans as usual have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

Would have been cool if it was until 2022. Prem experience and would fit nicely into Wolves

How about if City bring Julian this January, let him join the first team for the rest of the season then by end of the season if he didn’t prove himself they can loan him. Wtf with loaning a player u just signed.
