Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays another update on the future of Spanish forward Ferran Torres.

Torres has emerged as Barcelona’s top target, with Xavi Hernandez pushing the club to land the Manchester City winger in the winter transfer window.

The former Valencia winger is keen on the move and is more than willing to return to Spain with Barcelona next month.

City are ready to let him leave on a permanent basis, but Signing Ferran Torres from the Premier League champions could be a step too far for Barcelona financially as their economic woes are well known.

Spanish publication earlier this month reported that City have priced Torres at €60m(£51m) – over double the £21m they paid Valencia for him last year – and are willing to let him go if Barca stump up the cash.

Mundo Deportivo claim Barca and Man City are now ‘closer’ towards agreeing a €50million deal for the Spain international.

Furthermore, journalist Fabrizio Romano adds that personal terms have been agreed between Torres and the La Liga giants, with the Premier League champions holding out for €60m.

The report was shared on Twitter and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts and opinions.

Here’s what City supporters had to say on Twitter about the latest update on Torres’ move to Barcelona…
