Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says Ferran Torres is progressing well as he recovers from his metatarsal injury.
The Cityzens travel to the capital for the Saturday evening kick-off against Watford, looking for the three points that will keep them right on the coat-tails of leaders, Chelsea.
With the likes of Jack Grealish, Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne all missing recently, Pep told those in his press conference that every player was available except Ferran Torres.
The Spain international, who has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona, injured his foot while on international duty in October when he was ruled out for up to four months.
But Guardiola says he is in the gym and doing well – though he won’t be rushed back.
“He feels better,” said Pep. “Much, much better. He goes to the gym already but the doctor said it is an injury that we need to be careful of.
“If he comes back a few days too soon, he could be out another four months.
“One more week, ten more days and then come back. Metatarsal is so dangerous.”
In light to the encouraging update on Ferran Torres, many Man City fans have reacted – here are some of the best responses.
At least keep him to the end of the season to see if he’s changed him mind
