Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club is preparing to offer a new contract to Gabriel Jesus.
The 24-year-old is one of the senior players who had been linked with a move away from City during last transfer window.
The former Palmeiras starlet has reinvigorated his Manchester City career in the past five months starting twelve of City’s Seventeen Premier League fixtures this season with two goals and seven assists.
The Brazilian, who is valued at £54 million according to Transfermarkt, has less than two years on his contract, and would have just the sole season remaining on his deal come the summer
According to Graeme Bailey via 90mins, Manchester City are ready to open talks with Gabriel Jesus and his representatives, with a view to tying him down to a new long-term deal.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
