Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report to another update on the future of promising youngster James McAtee.
The 19-year-old, who is being compared to a young version of club legend David Silva, has starred for City’s youth academy side so far this campaign.
The teenager made his senior debut in the third round of the EFL Cup last month, coming on as a substitute in City’s 6-1 victory at home against Wycombe Wanderers.
McAtee is considered by Man City as one of their brightest prospects within their academy and they hope in the near future that he can emulate Phil Foden by cementing a regular place in their starting lineup.
However, McAtee’s future is in some doubt as top European clubs are apparently keen on him as he approaches the final 18 months of his contract.
Sharing the latest on City’s plans for McAtee, Wales Online reporter Ian Mitchelmore has claimed that the Sky Blues view Swansea as a place where he can develop his game on loan.
The Championship club are keen to take him in January, with City just as eager for the teenager to get more senior minutes under his belt – seemingly pulling a U-turn after opting against sending McAtee out on loan a few months ago.
However, as per this report, his precarious contract situation is a crucial factor to a potential move away and a decision may either need to be made soon or, at the latest, next summer.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.

I feel we will lose him sadly. Been down this road before…

Would be a great loan. He`s far too good for youth football, and he won`t get many chances with the first team this season
