Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club have agreed a deal with Sporting Lisbon to permanently sell Spanish right-back Pedro Porro.
The 22-year-old – who is yet to make an appearance for the Citizens since arriving from Girona in 2019 – is currently enjoying the second part of his two-year loan spell with the Primeira Liga champions.
According to Record, Porro has agreed to sign for Sporting on a permanent deal, with negotiations between both clubs believed to be at an advanced stage.
The report adds that the Portuguese giants plan to activate Porro’s €8.5m (£7.2m) option-to-buy clause and the defender will sign a five-year deal, including a €20m (£17m) release clause.
It remains unknown as to whether City will insert a buy-back clause in the player’s contract, as they did with former full-back Angelino when he left the Etihad Stadium for PSV Eindhoven back in 2018, before re-joining the Sky Blues a year later.
However, despite flourishing with Sporting, the youngster has previously admitted that Pep Guardiola has never spoken to him. With the defender even saying that he is not sure that the Catalan coach knew that he had signed for the club.
Porro has made 50 appearances across all competitions for Sporting, scoring six goals and providing three assists.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra and City Chief, many Man City fans have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

Not too bad. But they’ve probably bought him for like 7/8m now which is less than we bought him for https://t.co/A0N0zWuLCo
