Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club have made enquiries for RB Leipzig midfielder Christopher Nkunku through intermediaries.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed a hugely productive two years in the Bundesliga, contributing 16 goals and 27 assists from just 71 appearances.
The €47m-rated midfielder scored a memorable Champions League hat-trick against City – albeit in a losing cause – during a 6-3 defeat for the German outfit last month.
Nkunku’s performances are yet to earn him a senior debut with France, but that will not stop the former Paris Saint-Germain youngster being linked with some of European football’s top clubs.
According to SportBILD as relayed by Sport witnesses, the Premier League champions are have made enquiries for RB Leipzig star through intermediaries, as interest in the Frenchman continues to build.

The Frenchman, who s believed to have caught the eye of Pep Guardiola, still has three years remaining on his contract with Leipzig, who are under no pressure to sell one of their star players.
