Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club is tracking Stoke City striker Emre Tezgel.
The 16-year-old featured on a regular basis for his side’s Under-18s last season and is also believed to have taken part in training sessions with the Under-23s over the summer.
According to the Daily Mail, Stoke are facing a fight to keep hold of the forward, who has managed seven goals in four appearances at Under-18 level this term, including a treble against Liverpool.
The report claims that Man United, Chelsea and Man City are all ‘admirers’ of the youngster, branded a “Harry Kane-type centre-forward” by Stoke’s academy boss Gareth Owen.
Tezgel – part of the England Under-17s squad – scored twice against Man United Under-18s during a clash last month.
In total, the striker has netted 14 times in 27 appearances for Stoke Under-18s in the Under-18 Premier League.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra and City Chief, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
