Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the Premier League champions have made contact with Dusan Vlahovic’s agent, hoping to finalise a deal in January.
The 21-year-old highly rated striker has been closely linked with a move to the Etihad in recent weeks as they continue to search for a new goalscorer.
The Fiorentina goal machine has been turning heads around Europe for the last two years and he looks set to join a big club.
The Serbian’s current deal with the Serie A side expires in 2023 and he’s decided against renewing his contract, meaning that could bolster City’s chances of landing him in a cut-price deal in 2022.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport as relayed by Football Italia, both Juventus and Manchester City have made contact with Vlahovic’s agent, hoping to finalise the deal in January.
However, the report adds that Vlahovic demands a salary in the region of €6m-a-year and Fiorentina don’t want to sell for less than €60m.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
Just do it @ManCity

I don't mind if we get this baller

He won't perform outside of Serie A just like Immobile, would be a giant flop

get Haaland instead
From what I've seen he doesn't look great, not mobile or clinical enough.

Although it would stunt Delap's growth, I wouldn't mind having Vlahovic come in January and reinforcing our striker pool with Haaland in the summer because I think we could theoretically afford it

I kind of see this happening as Vlahovic is running down his contract and Fiorentina would be in a rush to sell him.
