Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club is keen on signing Club Brugge attacker Charles De Ketelaere.
The 20-year-old Belgian attacker turned heads following his rise through his side’s youth ranks into the first team. He has been with Club Brugge all his life, having joined the club’s youth setup as a seven-year-old back in 2008.
De Ketelaere has started the 2021/22 season in fine fashion, with four goals and three assists in 15 appearances so far. His progress has not gone unnoticed either, with Pep Guardiola seemingly a fan of the youngster.
According to CalcioMercato, the Catalan coach was impressed by the 20-year-old in City’s 5-1 win against the Belgian side earlier this week.
Despite City blowing Brugge out of the water, Guardiola liked what he saw from the youngster. As per the report, Everton and West Ham are also eager on De Ketelaere.
The centre-forward can also play a variety of other attacking positions. with such versatility would prove a welcome addition for any of the Premier League clubs showing interest.
The report of Man City’s interest in De Ketelaere was shared on Twitter, and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
Here’s what some fans had to say…..
Genuinely had to google him…then realised he played against us last night lol. Honestly, opposition players are a blur to me.

We’ve got Liam Delap already. We should give Delap a chance before pursuing any other young attacking forwards that aren’t already established.

8/10 potential. With a sound attacking manager he puts in insane numbers in the future.

might eventually get there but currently absolutely nowhere near the levels you need to be for a top 4 squad in the EPL, doesn’t offer anything we don’t already have.
