Manchester City midfielder Rodri has discussed on whether he would rather win the Premier League (again) or the Uefa Champions league.
The Spain international has developed into an indispensable part of Pep Guardiola’s system, establishing himself in the spine of the squad.
The 25-year-old is in his third season at City after joining from Atletico Madrid for £62million and he’s made the midfield role his own despite Fernandinho’s continued presence at the club.
Rodri’s influence has been instrumental in City’s defensive record this season with the Blues only shipping three goals in eight games this season in the Premier League.
In a recent interview with Soccer AM, Rodri was asked whether he would want to win the Champions League or retain the Premier League at the end of the campaign.
Rodri said: “I don’t know. For me, my dream has always been to win the Champions League. That would be amazing.”
These Rodri’s comment has prompt Plenty of Sky Blues to react on social media.
