Manchester City Boss Pep Guardiola has set an incredible milestone in the thrilling 1-0 victory at Stamford Bridge over Tuchel’s side.
The two sides are title rivals this term, so whilst it is only early in the campaign, Saturday’s clash is still likely to have some bearing on the Premier League title race in 2021/22.
This result was a remarkable one for the Cityzens for several reasons. Not only did it bring an end to Guardiola’s losing streak against Tuchel, but it also saw the defending champions bounce back from last weekend’s 0-0 draw to pull level with the Blues in the standings.
Furthermore, that triumph also saw Pep make history at the Etihad Stadium. That victory, his 221st triumph in all competitions since taking over the Manchester outfit, makes him the manager with the most wins in the club’s history, overtaking the previous record holder Les McDowall (220 wins).

On the achievement, the Spaniard said: “I’m so proud. We’ve done it at Stamford Bridge at the last Champions League winner. We’ve been magnificent together. It makes me proud, a little bit for myself but especially for the club.”
Here is what some Sky Blues said in response on the social media platform about this Guardiola new Manchester City record.
