Scott Carson could make his second Manchester City start after the club were threatened with sanctions if they play their Brazilian stars at Leicester.
As reported by the Times, Man City have been informed by FIFA that they will be unable to select their Brazilian players for a five-day period or risk possible sanctions.
The ban is a direct consequence of clubs refusing to release stars for international duty due to games being played in red-list countries
Ederson is one of eight Premier League stars to be hit by FIFA ban – opening the door for veteran stopper Scott Carson to make a rare start as No.2 goalkeeper Zack Steffen tested positive for Covid-19 while on duty with the United States national team.
Since initially arriving on loan at City in 2019, Carson has made just one Premier League appearance for the reigning champions – starting in the thrilling 4-3 win over Newcastle United on the final day of last season.
In reaction to the news shared on Twitter by City Xtra and City Chief, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
