Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Ederson and Gabriel Jesus have been cleared to play this weekend.
Both players are among the group of Premier League stars who have been banned from competing in domestic fixtures this weekend after their clubs blocked them from joining up with the national team
Premier League clubs collectively decided to stop their South American internationals from travelling to play in World Cup qualifiers as Covid restrictions would have forced them into a ten-day quarantine on their return.
After talks between FIFA and the Premier League failed to resolve the issue, the clubs were prepare to take matters into their own hands and play their suspended stars.
However, according to Paul Joyce for The Times, Ederson and Gabriel Jesus have been cleared to play for Man City this weekend by Fifa after Brazil agree to waive automatic five-day restriction.
The journalist claims Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Paraguay FA’s have agreed to ‘waive’ automatic 5-day restriction.
Ederson and Jesus travelled to Leicester last night with the rest of the City squad for today’s Premier League clash.
