Manchester City attacker Ferran Torres has shown he would be comfortable playing as a centre-forward more often in 2021/22
The formal Valencia star scored his 10th international goal to help Spain to a 2-0 victory over Kosovo in World Cup qualifying.
The forward showed great composure to beat his man and fire a fierce drive past the on loan Aro Muric from the edge of the area to wrap up the three points for Luis Enrique’s side.
Torres, who won his 20th cap at the Pristina City Stadium, has now scored four goals in his last four appearances for club and country and is the first player to net six times in a calendar year for Spain since David Silva hit seven in 2017.
Of course, the 21-year-old has predominantly featured as a winger within the duration of his short career. However, with the departure of Citizens legend Sergio Aguero, there is a sizeable void to fill from an offensive perspective at the Etihad Stadium.
Others believe his potential is huge, and he will end up showing fans just how good he really is having turned in a ‘masterclass’.
Several City fans heaped praise on him, and here are few reactions on Twitter.
this guy is gonna be spains all time top scorer at this rate.

Turning out to be a proper 9. Good run, touch, class to clear space for shot, and a beautiful finish. Aguero-esque
