Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club rejected a £15M bid from Borussia Dortmund for Liam Delap at the end of the transfer window.
There was a lot of uncertainty over Liam Delap’s future at Manchester City this summer, with plenty of speculation that the 18-year-old striker could go out on loan this season in order to gain some vital experience.
Delap last month signed a three-year contract extension, which keeps him at the Club until the summer of 2026.
Accoording to Football Insider the premier leaque champions rejected a £15M bid from Borussia Dortmund for Liam Delap at the end of the transfer window.
The reports adds Man City have no intention of letting Delap go and Pep Guardiola is a huge admirer, with the club mindful of not blocking his first-team pathway.
Delap joined City from Derby County and soon made a name for himself in the club’s youth ranks, quickly earning a promotion to the Under-23s side despite only being 16.
The striker went from strength last season and enjoyed an incredible campaign under departed coach Enzo Maresca, scoring 24 goals and adding five assists in just 20 games to help fire the EDS to their first Premier League 2 title.
Delap marked his return to action with a goal in the club’s Under-23s 4-1 win over Crystal Palace last Saturday.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra and City Chief, many Man City fans have been sharing their thoughts and opinions.
