Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims Sergio Aguero is ‘very angry’ as Lionel Messi departs from Barcelona.
The 33-year-old, who happens to be one of Messi’s closest friends, made the move to Nou Camp after leaving the Etihad as a free agent this summer and was set to link up with his long-time friend.
It has been previously reported that the striker, who won the Copa America 2021 with the former Barca captain earlier this summer, had agreed to take a large pay cut in order to join the Catalans and play with Messi.
The Manchester City’s all-time leading goalscorer even admitted as much when he was officially unveiled as a Barcelona player, insisting that Messi’s presence at the club played a big part in his decision to join the Catalans.
His’s arrival was also claimed to have played a crucial role in Messi agreeing a new deal with Barcelona.
But that will not materialise after all as Messi is now on the lookout for a new club as Barca have been unable to comply with La Liga’s financial fair play rules.
While the Argentine had been a free agent for over a month now, it was always expected that he would be re-signing with Barcelona. But, as shocking as it seems, it will not be happening, the club confirmed late on Thursday evening.
According to TNT Sports Argentina via RouteOneFootball, the former Man City striker have been left devastated by the development and is ‘very angry’ at the fact he won’t star alongside Messi next season.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief, many Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
