Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a report that claims the club will hold talks with Raheem Sterling regarding his future once his time with England at Euro 2020 comes to and end this summer.
The England international had a mixed 2020/21 campaign but still bagged 14 goals and 12 assists from 49 appearances for the Cityzens.
He was not as prolific as he has been in previous campaigns, while he was often overlooked by Pep Guardiola when it came to the knockout stage of the Champions League – though he did start in the final.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium this summer, but the Daily Telegraph reports that his future will be decided after the Euros.
The report claims that the Cityzens are also willing to commit Sterling, who has two years remaining on his contract, to a new long-term deal after Euro 2020.
Spanish giants Barcelona are believed to be one club monitoring the forward’s situation, while Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested.
Raheem Sterling is not interested in the prospect of being used as a bargaining tool by Man City; Tottenham would not be able to afford his wages, while Arsenal would struggle to finance a deal, the report adds.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra and City Chief, Many Man City fans have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.

W, don’t think we should be rushing into a contract that pays 350k a week. He doesn’t deserve a 100k payrise

We are already losing half our squad let’s at least keep hold of Raheem.

Because he scored ONE goal for England? 😂

Get rid whilst you still can
Didn't have a great season but 31 goals in 19/20 season is unreal. And they have been working on a contract extension for a few months now. This isn't a reaction to the euros goal
