Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Barcelona are considering a move for Raheem Sterling in this summer’s transfer window.
Sterling endured a mixed season after falling out of favour under Pep Guardiola and finding himself in and out of the Manchester City team.
Barca have now sensed an opportunity and believe they will be able to raise the funds for at least one big summer signing, of which Sterling is now a leading candidate
The 26-year-old, who is currently training with Gareth Southgate’s England squad ahead of Euro 2020, has recently emerged as a potential target for the Spanish giants, who see him as an ideal replacement for Ousmane Dembele.
According to SPORT, Barcelona are weighing up a move for the England international this summer as they look for a possible replacement for Ousmane Dembele.
Barcelona are confident that they can raise funds from player sales in the next few months and are hoping to begin negotiations for Sterling soon, the report adds.
This is a ‘very complicated business’ and the La Liga club would have to offer players in order to reduce the costs of the operation.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, many Man City fans have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
So Barcelona want to sign our whole squad basically

This is crazy. At this rate, the next thing I will read is that: Barcelona are “thinking of” and are “actively pursuing” the idea of buying Manchester City Football Club.

Ansu Fati + money 💰 for Sterling would be a fair deal.

We don’t need any of their players .. just take sterling

Sterling yes, it wouldn’t be a big loss if City sells him. People are saying he is just in bad form but they forgot that his first goal of 2020 came in June 17th. This is the second bad season in a row.
