A lot of Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays a reports that claims Atlético Madrid are ‘eyeing a move’ for Bernardo Silva.
The former Monaco man has emerged as one of the players who could be on his way out of Manchester City this summer as they look to freshen up their squad.
The Daily Mail earlier this week revealed that the Portuguese playmaker has attracted interest from top clubs in Spain, France and Italy, as Manchester City look to polish their squad during the summer transfer window.
According to France Football, Atlético Madrid are ‘eyeing a move’ for Bernardo Silva. Diego Simeone is ’ogling’ Bernardo and has wanted him for ‘many years’.
The report adds that the La Liga club feel they can make use of the ‘good relations’ they have with Silva’s agent Jorge Mendes.
Silva has scored 35 goals and assisted 44 more in 201 appearances for City across all competitions, and his existing deal at the Etihad does not expire until 2025.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Chief and City Xtra, Man City fans have been expressing their thoughts and opinions, with many far from happy.

Swap with Joao? Still don’t want him to leave but this is the only solution IMO

I love Bernardo with all my heart but if we’re getting a ST his minutes will be scarce so I can see a move likely

I don’t want us to sell him but if he wants weekly first team football and wants to leave then we should get minimum £70M for him

Pep said that while he is at city and Bernardo wants to stay, he isn’t going anywhere. The only way we sell him is if he literally asks to leave imo.

Lots of people are saying Bernardo is city most underrated player, that’s not true. Its Zinchenko. Bernardo has never been thesame player he was two years ago. He has lost his creative spark. Selling Bernardo will be a win win for him and city .
