Manchester City fans have been reacting to claims that Jack Grealish is close to moving to the Etihad his summer.
The Villa skipper is one of the players Manchester City are considering buying this summer as they aim to defend the Premier League title and also impress again in Europe next season.
The 25-year-old, who only signed a new five-year deal with the club in September has aspirations of playing in the Champions League and it is thought he is keen to step up to the next level sooner rather than later.
Reports over the course of the past month have suggested that the Villa midfielder has been attracting significant levels of interest from City ahead of a possible big-money move this summer following his impressive season and latest performance for England at Euro 2020, with Villa now seemingly ready to cash in.
The Sun on Thursday reported that the representatives of Jack Grealish feel that a move to Manchester City would be possible after Euro 2021 is complete.
According to ESPN today, Manchester City are close to reaching an agreement with Aston Villa for Jack Grealish, with a separate report from talkSPORT claiming the midfielder is ‘close’ to moving to City for around £100 million, a British transfer record.
A deal is not expected to be completed before England’s participation in the Euros is over, with players focused on their national teams for the tournament; Gareth Southgate’s side face Germany at Wembley on Tuesday and could be occupied until July 11 if they reach the final.
Man City fans have taken to social media to have their say on the reports.

I feel it does confirm bernado for sure gonna leave, he’s wanted to leave for a while and if this rumour is true then it sucks to see him go but great replacement!

I don’t agree that Bernardo is better, yes he runs like a champion, seems to have unlimited stamina but we’re never getting that 18/19 Bernardo back unfortunately… just might be time for him to go

Not buying it. I’ll believe it when fab says something or he’s holding up The shirt. Also, don’t know why people would be unhappy signing this absolute baller of a player

Woah, might be a lot but obviously he’s an awesome player so I can’t complain https://t.co/eYvPEnXEM0
