Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims the club have completed a deal to sign Estudiantes youngster Darío Sarmiento, with the winger set to join next summer.
The 18-year-old, who have been linked with a move to the Etihad since last year, is very highly-rated and has been compared to Barcelona and Argentina superstar Lionel Messi.
Argentine side Estudiantes announced today on their website the youngster is to join City in a deal worth upwards of £16m. It is believed City will pay around £5m now, with more coming in add ons and the form of a 20% sell-on clause.
He will officially join the Blues on July 1 but is likely to be farmed out to one of the City Football Group clubs, as he will not qualify for a work permit at the moment, not being a full international.
This is the second time City have moved in the South American market in recent weeks. They signed Brazilian youngster, Kayky, from Fluminese, and have now added the impressive Sarmiento to their books as well.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra and city chief, many Man City supporters have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
Welcome to City 💯
