Erling Haaland’s father, Alf-Inge, and his agent Mino Raiola are currently on a “tour” to get to know the potential buyers, their projects, proposals for the 20 year-old Borussia Dortmund striker ahead of a hectic summer of negotiations for the player.
Speculation surrounding the future of the Borussia Dortmund star has only grown in recent weeks as we approach the summer.
The 20-year-old Norwegian goal machine tops City’s list of replacements, and will have to beat off competition from the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus among others for his signature.
The agent of Erling Haaland, Mino Raiola and the player’s father Alfie are currently on a “tour” to get to know the potential buyers for the Norwegian striker.
Spanish publication Sport posted pictures of Alf-Inge and Raiola arriving in Barcelona. The report also claims they were met at the airport by an assistant of Joan Laporta – who has just been elected as club president.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also confirmed both meetings took place and expects more clubs to sit down with Raiola over the coming weeks.
He wrote on Twitter: “The meeting between Mino Raiola, Erling Haaland’s father and Joan Laporta has been positive. It was the first contact to discuss about the new Barcelona project – obviously there’s nothing done or advanced, race will be long as many clubs are involved… Barça are in.
“Mino Raiola will meet/talk also with other top clubs in the next weeks… and Bayern Münich are *not* in the race for this summer. Raiola also met with BVB this week to discuss about the price as Haaland’s clause will be NOT valid in 2021, only in July 2022.”
A separate tweet added: “Confirmed. Mino Raiola is in Madrid right now after leaving Barcelona on a private flight. There is also the Haaland’s father with him.
“After meeting with Barcelona president Laporta, Raiola will talk today also with Real Madrid about Haaland deal.”
Mundo Deportivo, Mino Raiola and Alf Inge Haaland will travel to London tomorrow to hold meetings with Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United to find out their intentions with Erling Haaland.
In reaction to the news shared on Twitter by Man City Xtra and City, many Man City fans have have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
It’s not even funny it was completely obvious the idea was to have a meeting with every club that wants him…..
