Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports to yet another update on the club’s interest in AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer.
The Algerian, who had been linked with a move to the Etihad, has been forced to miss 17 games in all competitions this year due to injury.
That hasn’t discouraged some of Europe’s biggest clubs from taking a close look at him, as he is still one of the top ten most valuable defensive midfielders in the world.
According to Competition as relayed by Sport Witness, Manchester City are one of three clubs looking at the 23 year-old A.C. Milan central midfielder.
The report adds that PSG could have the edge in the battle to sign Bennacer due to their ability to offer Leandro Paredes as part of an exchange deal, with La Liga giants Real Madrid are also ‘following the footsteps’ of Bennacer.
Bennacer joined AC Milan at the beginning of the 2019/20 season for €16m after a two-year spell with Empoli. When he signed his contract, the €50m release clause was inserted which becomes active in summer 2021.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra, Man City fans have expressed their thoughts and opinions.
Hopefully City will get him to be Fernandinho successor.

World class potential, already one of the best DMs in Serie A and someone both Guardiola and City fans should be grateful to have if he joins
However, I imagine he will want more guarantees about playing time considering how consistently excellent Rodri has been for us
