Manchester City Fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that claims Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland is ‘destined’ to go the Etihad.
The Norwegian striker, who has been heavily linked with a move to Etihad, is one of Europe’s hottest properties, and has been linked with moves to most of the ‘big six’ clubs.
Christian Falk of BILD reported yesterday that City are the ‘favourites’ to sign Haaland, if Borussia Dortmund decide to sell their most prized asset this summer.
The latest report from the Daily Mail’s Ian Ladyman claims Haaland is destined for the Etihad according to some ‘credible sources’.
The premier league leaders reportedly ‘hold an extra trump card in poker’ for the Haaland transfer due to the following advantages.
Apart from their strong economic conditions and the fact Erling’s father played at the Etihad, City can lure the attacker with the presence of Pep Guardiola and the club’s ability to challenge for trophies in all competitions.
Haaland has a release clause of €75m in his contract with Dortmund, but that only comes into play in the summer of 2022.
In reaction to the report shared on Twitter by City Xtra and City Chief, many Man Sky Blues have have been expressing their thoughts and opinions.
